Support & FAQ's
What does participating entail?
Participants will run either a 10k, 5k or Family Dash (2k) distance. Once across the finish line, participants will receive their Pizza Slice medal. A 'pizza station' will be located in the race village where participants will be able to collect their tasty pizza after run completion, with their pizza wrist band! There will also be a DJ present who will provide music during the disco warmup and after the run.
Do all Family Dash entrants purchase their own individual ticket?
How do I register?
Registration is simple. Just click 'Events' above, choose your location and hit sign up next to your chosen race distance!
Do I have to purchase tickets online before the event?
Yes. All participants must purchase tickets via this website before the event. Please note that space is extremely limited and we expect the runs to sell out well in advance.
Who can participate?
Are there prizes?
Absolutely! This is still a competition after all, for those who choose to race at least. We will be excited to announce prizes closer to the event date, keep an eye on our social media and use the links in the menus above and below to follow us.
Do I have to eat pizza?
Eating pizza is totally optional.
Is there a charitable component to the race?
Yes! We always encourage people to raise money for charity and we may even post your fundraiser through our social media if we spot you doing some good things. Just hashtag us at #PizzaRunner
Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund once you have signed up to an event. This is mainly due to the logistics of running an event of this size. However, you can swap the name on the ticket, just see below. Anyway, you would be crazy to miss it, and you are not crazy, so see you there.
Can I exchange my ticket with someone else?
You are more than welcome to swap the name on your ticket if you cannot make it to the event. Just email us with both your names and a description of which names we are swapping in and out. (Due to popular demand, and in order to give everyone a fair chance, ticket touting is forbidden. Any tickets suspected of being touted will be cancelled.)
Will the race be timed?
The race will not be timed. The priority is to have fun, take the pressure off and encourage participation in a healthy balanced lifestyle. However, you are more than welcome to wear a stop-watch and see how you get on against the clock.
How do I get to the race?
Can I come and watch?
Of course. Even if you do not wish to participate… and do not know anyone participating, you will still have a fun time checking out the action and enjoying the good time vibes.
What if it rains?
Will there be a place to store personal items at the event?
Although there will be a Bag Drop area to put your items, we cannot guarantee that they will be secure. We suggest leaving all valuables at home. Even better – bring a friend to hold on to your stuff while you run!
Where is the pizza from?
The pizza you will be eating during the race will be provided by professional pizza chefs with insurances, all relevant certifications and a tonne of experience in creating and providing top quality pizza. It will make your taste buds tingle with happiness!
Where is the after-party?
What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?
Can I exchange my 10k ticket for a 5k ticket?
How old do my children have to be to take part in the Family Dash?
Children aged 9 years and under will require an adult to run with them. Anyone older than 9 can run on their own. However, anyone aged 16 or under must be accompanied at the event by an adult.
